Fire #3
(2022)
Ashes series
Fire #3 distills the fire works into a compact, concentrated form. Movement arrives in quick bursts rather than sustained flow. Direction takes precedence over accumulation. The surface reads as decision rather than process.
Heat here is immediate and embodied. Lines pivot, flicker, and redirect, creating impulse instead of endurance. The work feels less like fire traveling and more like fire choosing. There is precision in the motion, a clarity absent from the earlier pieces.
Within Ashes, Fire #3 acts as a hinge. The force that entered in Fire #1 and condensed in Fire #2 now crystallizes. Motion clarifies into form. The work marks a moment when transformation turns from momentum into orientation, carrying forward what is essential and leaving the rest behind.
